Co-curricular and Extra-curricular Activities

 

The objectives of the co-curricular & Extra -curricular activities program are to:-

 

  1. Develop the determination and dedication within the student, necessary to complete his / her chosen goals.
  2. Develop  a  willingness  to  place  the  good  of  the  group  before  the  desires  of  the individual.
  3. Provide  opportunities  to  exemplify  sportsmanship  while  teaching  participants  that negative actions may result in consequences.
  4. Provide competitive opportunities for students.

Co-Curricular activities are an extension of the formal learning experiences in an course or academic program, while extracurricular activities are offered or coordinated by institute which may not be explicitly connected to academic learning always.

5 NSS Institute started NSS from the academic year 2015-16. NSS committee comprises coordinator and staff members from various departments. There are 50 students associated with NSS unit.
6 Cultural Activities

The committee comprising of the coordinator and staff members from various sections along with the student council organizes and conducts various cultural events throughout the year. For this following infrastructure facility is provided by the Institute as:

  • Classroom
  • Discussion Room.
7 Public Speaking, Communication Skills development The auditorium is used for an expert talk on personality development and language laboratory with O’rell software and audio-visual facility is used for soft skills development.

Annual student’s activities

The Institute has various technical and non-technical  committees  functional  at  the department and the Institute levels. At student level, there are various cultural, technical and sports clubs as formed for the overall growth of the students. These committees regularly organize co-curricular activities like seminars, workshops, conferences, expert guidance training and expert sessions guiding students as a value addition in academics.
